The Story Behind Common Ground
Most human beings crave a connection to a higher power and a loving community. However, satisfying those needs within a traditional church environment can be challenging for some.
Common Ground is a safe and comforting home for people from all creeds, backgrounds, and walks of life to come together to explore their relationships with others, with a higher power, and with themselves. We welcome everyone regardless of race, color, sexual identity, social or economic background. In fact, we believe that our diversity reflects the tapestry of God’s creation.
Utilizing the wisdom, spirituality, and practices of the 12-steps programs and an inclusive Christian faith practice of grace and forgiveness, we help our members and the community heal from isolation, separation, and loneliness while giving them the tools and support they need to build a sense of self-love and acceptance.
